Fr. Christian Mathis (Blessed Is the Kingdom) has made the suggestion that we "rest" on the Sabbath by taking a break from our normal blogging and sharing an older post of which we are particularly fond. Rest? Gladly! I don't get to do that very often, but now, thanks to Fr. Christian, I get to do it at least once a week -- and it gives me more time to spend with God, which is a wonderful gift.For this week, since I have been blogging about our cats, I selected the post that introduced them back in April: A Big Miao from the Littlest Mahlous.

A blogging Sabbath ... that is a good idea. I actually have been taking blogging Sabbath's for several months, but not limited to Saturday or Sunday. I've cut down my blog posts considerably. Time was getting away from me too much.

Hi Trish, I know that we have moved away from a country that rests on Sunday. Nonetheless, I LIKE to do that! And spending the day in worship is very restful.
